The winners of the “Open Space for Youth: Photography Competition” organized by Kültür AŞ, a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Service and Communication Group, have been determined. A total of 4,721 photo applications were made from 68 different cities and 4 different countries to the competition, which was held with the cooperation of the Turkish Photographic Arts Federation (TFSF) and the support of Sony and DifoArt. Now it is time to determine the winner of the People's Award. The winner of the People's Award will be determined after the voting conducted via Radar Turkey.
The third of the “Open Space for Youth” competitions, implemented by İBB Kültür AŞ to support young talents and project coordinator Banu Seyhan, was held in the field of photography. The competition, organized with the theme of “City Stories”, brought together photographers from 68 different cities and 4 different countries and examined the colorful and dynamic stories of cities. Young photographers participated in the competition with original narratives consisting of city streets, momentary details, traces of time and small but striking frames of life. A total of 4,721 photo applications were made by young photographers from all over Turkey and abroad.
The winners were determined as a result of the meticulous evaluation of the selection committee consisting of Banu Tunçağ, Burak Bulut Yıldırım, Coşkun Aral, Prof. Emre İkizler, İzzet Keribar, Murat Abbas, Nihal Gündüz, Orhan Cem Çetin, Ömer Serkan Bakır. The winners of the competition, which included original and striking photographs revealing the meaning of places from the streets of cities, are as follows:

Third Place Award: Yahya Engin
Public Voting Has Started!
53 photographs selected by the selection committee from the photographs participating in the Open Space for Young People: Photography Competition have begun to be exhibited at Taksim Sanat. Simultaneously with the exhibition, the public voting process has begun on the Radar Turkey mobile application in order to present the works participating in the competition to a wide audience. By downloading the Radar Turkey app, users will be able to vote on the winner of the People's Award from among the photographs on display. The vote provides an important opportunity to discover how photography is shaped by young talents and to support the careers of these artists.
